We depart from our office and drive for around one hour to the west of Luang Prabang where the trek begins by visiting an ethnic Khmu village before heading to the nearby Hmong village. You will be able to observe the lifestyles of the two different minority groups and see how, despite their differences, they manage to work together and even share the same school. Then we continue to walk through rice paddies and vegetable fields before reaching the mountainous forest. Along the way we explore a cave which was used as a bomb shelter during the second Indochina war and spring water which feeds a waterfall, here we enjoy a Lao style lunch offered by local families, after that we continue onwards. The trail leads to the top of the waterfall. The afternoon is spent bathing and relaxing around the crystal clear pools below the waterfall.
